Eco Farm

Poly Tunnel @Fernhill Farm

Andrew & Jen with their two sons Kyle & Seth are establishing their long-term plans to rehabilitate this landscape, whilst maintaining holistic livestock management skills that are naturally compatible with these ancient Mendip grasslands

According to Jen, “We are developing the farm into a self-sufficient unit with its own supply of home-grown resources – food from our fields & gardens, water harvesting & recycling, wood & wool to keep us warm with the sun & logs heating our water

In 2014 we installed Solar panels to provide electricity & thus FHF really is:

An Arcadian Place to Stay

Thanks to Solarsense we can offer our visitors solar electricity throughout our Barns, Arcs, Loft, Saloon & Agricultural sheds

This latest instalment compliments our Log Boiler, Rainwater Harvesting, Solar Thermal heating & Wetland Eco-Treatment (WET) System

As part of our HLS educational access funding we offer group study discovery days – If you would like to know more please contact Andy or Jen
